WordPress now powers about one-third of the web. Its extraordinary success comes in large part from a worldwide community of support and sustainability, which you can always find in action on just about any given weekend, at a WordCamp somewhere in the world.
One of the most successful and well-known WordCamps is in Orange County, CA, which just concluded its 10th year.
Lunch sessions during WordCamps offer great opportunities to meet new people and engage in all sorts of interesting conversations about WordPress. I’ve picked up a lot of good advice and recommended tools for improving workflows and productivity, while having lunch with new acquaintances.
The lunches are generally catered in one form or another, but WordCamp OC is famously known for bringing in a curation of food trucks.
Another standout of WordCamp OC is the awesome venue – The Cove, a technology innovation center the University of California, Irvine. It’s probably among the very best locations to host a WordCamp, thanks to the technologies within that enable great audio and video presentations.
WordPress thrives on great community, great technologies, and great solutions. Let’s keep it going!
